Sri Joydip Ashram’s mission and Impact

Sri Joydip Ashram , is an institution which delivers knowledge on ‘Arunachala’ – the highest form of Non Dual Conciousness [Advaita Conciousness]. (Subramaniam, 2004) The Organisation and its system and process makes an application of “Inside Out Model” of Integral Management. (Joydip, 2007) According to the model , both inner growth in terms of meaning and spirituality is sought with different Management practices of excellence. More importantly a balance, have been always sought between the inner and Outer growth. It is this balance between “Inner” and “Outer” makes Sri Joydip Ashram one of the most unique organisation across the world. The Organisation fosters values of creating harmony between Individual growth and Collective growth (Aurobindo, 1915) with the help of practice of highest form of Yoga , Spirituality and Transformational Management Practices (Joydip, 2007).Based on the “Inner Growth” it also practices the ideal of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakum” which means to an person of higher consciousness there is no stranger and everyone is a part of his family.

Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam (Sanskrit: वसुधैव कुटुम्बकम् vasudhaiva kuṭumbakam. From vasudhā”, the earth; “ēva” = indeed is; and “kutumbakam”, family;). Orginally found in (Mahoupanishad) , the verse describes characteristics of a sadhak, who have reached the state of consciousness known as ‘Brahma Sthiti’.

”अयं बन्धुरयं नेति गणना लघुचेतसाम् | उदारचरितानां तु वसुधैव कुटुम्बकम् || ”
ayaṁ bandhurayaṁ nēti gaṇanā laghucētasām | udāracaritānām tu vasudhaiva kuṭumbakam ||

Discrimination saying “this one is a relative; this other one is a stranger” is for the mean-minded. For those who’re known as magnanimous, the entire world constitutes but a family. (Mahoupanishad)
